About Us
About Aluma Foundation
An African-based foundation advancing youth opportunity, wellbeing, innovation, and community-led development.
Built around a clear belief
Aluma Foundation is an African-based non-governmental organisation established around a clear belief: young people should have access to the skills, knowledge, health awareness, confidence, and support systems they need to thrive. The foundation brings together youth empowerment, entrepreneurship, health education, technology, sport, and community partnerships to create practical pathways for positive change.
Closing the opportunity gap
Many young people face barriers to employment, enterprise development, health information, digital access, mentorship, and structured leadership opportunities. Aluma Foundation exists to help close these gaps through practical, inclusive, and partnership-driven programmes that respond to real community needs.
To empower Rwanda's youth with practical skills, enterprise support, health knowledge, digital access, and leadership opportunities that enable them to build healthier, more prosperous, and more resilient communities.
A generation of empowered, healthy, skilled, and entrepreneurial young people driving sustainable development, innovation, and inclusive growth across Rwanda.
What guides our work

We believe young people deserve fair access to opportunity, learning, health information, and support regardless of background, gender, disability, location, or economic status.
Collaboration
We work with communities, institutions, partners, and young people themselves to design practical and relevant solutions.
Integrity
We are committed to transparency, accountability, ethical practice, and responsible use of resources.
Innovation
We use technology, creativity, sport, and knowledge sharing to expand access and improve programme delivery.
Inclusion
We value the voices, dignity, safety, and potential of every young person and community member we serve.

We focus on measurable, meaningful, and sustainable outcomes that strengthen youth and communities.
